Overview
Located in the Nanda Devi National Park, Kuari Pass, also known as the Lord Curzon Trail, is one of Uttarakhand’s most scenic Himalayan treks. At 12,516 ft, it offers stunning views of Nanda Devi, Mt. Dronagiri, and other snow-capped peaks.
The trail winds through forests of oak, rhododendron, and birch, rich with Himalayan flora and fauna. Along the way, trekkers pass charming meadows, mountain streams, and quaint villages.
In winter, the route turns into a magical white landscape—ideal for both first-time trekkers and seasoned explorers seeking an easy to moderate adventure in the Garhwal Himalayas.

Itinerary
Day 1 – Rishikesh to Joshimath (10 Hours Drive | 6150 ft)
Morning:
- Depart early from Rishikesh for a scenic mountain journey to Joshimath, the winter seat of Lord Badri.
- Witness the beautiful Devprayag confluence, where Alaknanda and Bhagirathi merge to form the holy Ganga.
Afternoon:
- Continue your drive along the riverside, passing picturesque mountain roads and small towns.
- Stop at scenic viewpoints or local markets for refreshments.
Evening:
- Arrive in Joshimath by evening and check in to your hotel.
- Relax and enjoy a warm dinner.
- Overnight stay at Joshimath.
Day 2 – Joshimath to Gulling
Morning:
- After breakfast, drive from Joshimath to Tugasi Village (approx. 1 hour).
- Begin your trek from Tugasi (8,756 ft) towards Guling (9,600 ft).
Afternoon:
- Trek through lush forests, charming hamlets, and scenic ridges.
- Take short breaks to admire the views of the surrounding valleys and local flora and fauna
Evening:
- Reach the Guling campsite by evening.
- Enjoy a hearty meal amidst nature and rest well.
- Overnight stay in tents.
Day 3 – Guling to Khullara Top
Morning:
- Start your trek after breakfast from Guling towards Khullara Top (11,070 ft).
- The trail passes through oak, conifer, and rhododendron forests.
Afternoon:
- Enjoy panoramic views of Nanda Devi, Dronagiri, and other Himalayan peaks.
Evening:
- Arrive at Khullara campsite by evening.
- Unwind while soaking in the serene Himalayan atmosphere.
Overnight stay in tents.
Day 4 – Khullara to Kuari Pass & back to Khullara
Morning:
- Wake up early and start your trek to Kuari Pass (12,763 ft) — one of the most scenic Himalayan passes.
Trek through meadows and alpine forests as the view opens to majestic peaks.
Afternoon:
- Reach Kuari Pass and enjoy breathtaking 360° views of Nanda Devi, Kamet, Trisul, and Dronagiri.
Spend time capturing photos and soaking in the Himalayan grandeur.
Evening:
- Trek back to Khullara campsite.
Have dinner and relax after the most rewarding day of the trek.
Overnight stay in tents.

Terms and Conditions
- Adherence to program timings is crucial; missed services are non-refundable.
- Guests are required to present valid photo identification upon arrival.
- According to government regulations, a valid Photo ID must be carried by every person above the age of 18. The identification proofs accepted are Aadhaar Card, Driver’s License, Voter’s Card, and Passport. Without a valid ID, the guest will not be allowed to start the trip.
- We may adjust itineraries because of external factors or unforeseen circumstances without changing the overall experience, so we will let you know on a priority basis.
- Your stay does not include additional expenses of a personal nature, such as additional meals, snacks, laundry, room service, or any other amenities/services not covered above under the inclusions section. Homestay will charge you directly for all additional expenses at the time of check-out or during your stay, as applicable.
- Please note that the forest fee or the trekking fee by the Department of Forest is not included in the package.
