Haridwar - Barkot

Today, our driver will greet you at Haridwar Railway Station or Dehradun Airport and embark on a scenic journey to Barkot. En route, we will visit the revered Shiv Mandir and the breathtaking Kempty Fall. Upon arrival in Barkot, check into your hotel and unwind.

Barkot, a picturesque town nestled on the banks of the Yamuna River, serves as a gateway to the revered Yamunotri Dham. The town boasts stunning Himalayan vistas and is surrounded by lush green forests, making it a nature lover's paradise.

Day 02 · Yamunotri, Uttarakhand

Barkot – Yamunotri - Barkot (36km drive & 6km Trek /each side)

Today, after an early morning breakfast, drive to Janki Chatti, the starting point of the Yamunotri trek. From Janki Chatti, you have three options to reach the Yamunotri Temple:

1. Horse ride
2. Palki (palanquin)
3. Trek

Choose your preferred mode of transportation and proceed to the temple.

Upon reaching the temple, take a holy bath in the Jamunabai Kund and offer prayers to Goddess Yamuna. The Yamunotri Temple, dedicated to the Goddess, features a stunning Black Marble Idol and is situated in the western region of the Garhwal Himalayas at an altitude of 3,291 meters (10,797 ft). The temple was built in 1839 by Sundarshan Shah, the king of Terhi Gadwalat at that time.

Visit Surya Kund, a sacred spot where you can boil potatoes and rice in the hot water springs and consume them as prasad (offerings).

After a spiritually enriching experience, return to Barkot and enjoy an overnight stay.

Day 03 · Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand

Barkot - Uttarkashi (100 km & 04 Hrs)

Today, after an early morning breakfast, embark on a scenic journey to Uttarkashi. En route, visit the sacred Shiv Gufa, a natural cave dedicated to Lord Shiva.

Upon reaching Uttarkashi, check into your hotel and freshen up. Later, visit the revered Kashi Vishwanath Temple, one of the oldest and most sacred temples in the region.

Uttarkashi, a picturesque district in Uttarakhand, is often referred to as Somya Kashi. This charming town is a treasure trove of spirituality, adventure, and natural beauty. Day 04 · Gangotri, Uttarakhand

Uttarkashi – Gangotri - Uttarkashi (100km 04 hours /each side)

Today, after an early morning breakfast, embark on a scenic journey to the revered Gangotri Temple. En route, marvel at the breathtaking views of the Harsil Valley and the majestic Valley View from Lanka Bridge.

Stop at Gangnani, a natural hot water spring, and take a rejuvenating bath in the Garam Kund. Continue your journey to the Gangotri Temple, situated at an altitude of 3,100 meters.

Offer prayers and seek blessings from Goddess Ganga at the temple, surrounded by serene pine and deodar trees, and nestled by the banks of the Bhagirathi River in the Uttarkashi district of the Great Himalayan Range.

The Gangotri Temple, built by Gorkha General Amar Singh Thapa in the 18th century, is a masterpiece of simplicity and elegance, constructed with white marble stone.

After a spiritually enriching experience, return to your hotel in Uttarkashi and spend the night.

Today, after an early morning breakfast, depart for Guptkashi, a scenic town nestled in the Himalayas. En route, marvel at the breathtaking views of Moolgarh and Lambagaon.

Upon arrival in Guptkashi, check into your hotel and freshen up. Spend the day exploring the town's ancient temples, including the revered Vishwanath Temple, one of the oldest in Guptkashi. Adjacent to the temple lies the sacred Mahikarnika Kund, where the two holy streams of Yamuna and Ganga converge.

Guptkashi - Kedarnath (36km by Road 19 km Trek /each side)

Today, after an early morning breakfast, drive to Sonprayag and then take shared cabs to reach Gaurikund, the starting point of the Kedarnath trek.

From Gaurikund, devotees can choose to:

- Take a horse ride
- Avail of a palki (palanquin)
- Embark on a scenic 18 km trek

Reach the revered Kedarnath Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, the "God of the Universe". The temple boasts a rich history, with the original structure built by the Pandavas and the present temple constructed by Adi Shankaracharya in the 18th century.

Kedarnath Temple, one of the 12 jyotirlingas in India, stands majestically at an altitude of 3,583 meters (11,755 feet) above sea level.

Today, after an early morning darshan (visit) to the Kedarnath Temple, begin your return journey to Guptkashi.

From Gaurikund, take a shared cab or drive 36 km to Guptkashi.

Day 08 · Badrinath, Uttarakhand

Guptkashi - Badrinath (195km 8 Hrs)

Today, after an early morning breakfast, embark on a scenic journey to Badrinath, a revered temple town nestled in the Himalayas. Check into your hotel and freshen up.

Later, visit the sacred Tapt Kund, a natural hot water spring, and take a rejuvenating dip. Proceed to the Badrinath Temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu, and have a divine darshan (visit). Witness the evening aarti (prayer ceremony) and soak in the spiritual atmosphere.

Badrinath Temple, situated at an altitude of 3,300 meters (10,279 feet), boasts a stunning idol of Lord Vishnu made of black stone, depicting the deity in a meditative pose. The temple was established by Adi Shankara, a renowned Vedic scholar and teacher, in the 8th century.

According to legend, Lord Vishnu meditated under the Badri tree, hence the name Badrinath. Spend the night in Badrinath, surrounded by the serene beauty of the Himalayas.

Day 09 · Rudraprayag, Uttarakhand

Badrinath – Joshimath - Rudraprayag (155km 06 Hrs)

Today, after an early morning darshan (visit) to Badrivishal, proceed to Mana Village, the last village of Uttarakhand. Explore the village and visit:

- Bhim Pull, a massive rock bridge
- Vyas Gufa, a sacred cave
- Saraswati River, a holy waterbody
- The last Tea Shop of Uttarakhand, a quaint spot

Later, drive to Joshimath and have a divine darshan (visit) to the Narsingh Devta Temple.

Afterward, proceed to Rudraprayag, a serene district in Uttarakhand, where the Alaknanda and Mandakini rivers converge. Check into your hotel and spend the night.

Rudraprayag, named after Lord Shiva's Rudra Avatar, is a peaceful town with an elevation of 895 meters (2,936 feet) above sea level. Visit the famous Koteshwar Mahadev Temple, a revered shrine in the Rudraprayag district.
