Travel Community

Community Guidelines

What belongs here, how we review it, and how Travel Credits work.

The short version

  • Every reel is reviewed by a person, usually within 24 hours.
  • You cannot delete a published reel yourself — ask us, and it comes down straight away.
  • 3 violations closes an account. Every decision can be appealed.
  • 1 credit per 100 views, 2 per 100 likes, 5 per person who comments — and every trip you book with us raises all three.
  • Credits are reward points, not money. They cannot be cashed out or transferred.

Community Guidelines

Version 2 · effective 29 Aug 2026

Keep our travel community travel-focused

This community exists to help travellers find destinations, stays, experiences and the small details that make a trip work. Every reel, photo and story here should have a real connection to travel.

That connection can be loose. A meal you ate in Hoi An, the walk to a viewpoint, the queue at a border crossing, what a homestay actually looked like, a packing mistake you would not repeat — all of it is travel. What does not belong is content that has nothing to do with going anywhere.

What you can post

  • Destinations, cities, neighbourhoods, beaches, mountains, deserts
  • Hotels, resorts, homestays, hostels and what a room is really like
  • Flights, trains, ferries, cruises, road trips and airport routine
  • Food you ate while travelling, and where you found it
  • Guides, itineraries, day plans, and honest reviews
  • Adventure, wildlife, culture, festivals and local experiences
  • Family trips, honeymoons, solo travel, work trips and MICE
  • Travel tips, mistakes, costs, visas and paperwork
  • Travel businesses and services, including your own

What you cannot post

  • Sexual or explicit material, or nudity meant to be sexual
  • Vulgar or obscene content
  • Hate speech, harassment or threats
  • Violence, cruelty or graphic injury
  • Illegal activity, drugs, or gambling promotion
  • Misleading claims, scams, impersonation or fraud
  • Spam, bulk posting, or engagement farming
  • Political campaigning or religious promotion unrelated to travel
  • Advertising and influencer marketing with no travel connection
  • Content whose main purpose is to move people to another platform
  • Anything you do not have the right to post
  • Links that put viewers at risk
  • Anything unlawful where you are, or where we operate

Post what is yours

Upload work you shot, or work you have permission to use. Reposting somebody else's clip as your own is the fastest way to lose your place here, and it is the one thing our reviewers are strictest about.

Be recognisably human

Say where you were. Say what it cost, if cost is the point. A reel that could be anywhere, made by anyone, helps nobody plan a trip.

Where your posts can appear

Your content stays yours. Posting it here also lets us show it in our own marketing for the destinations it features — on our site, in our emails and on our own social accounts — with credit to you. We ask this once. You will only be asked again if we change these guidelines, and you can ask us to take anything down at any time.

How we review

Everything you post is looked at by a person before anyone else sees it. That usually takes a few hours and can take up to 24. You will be told when it goes live, and told why if it does not.

If we get it wrong, say so. Every decision here can be appealed.

Content Policy

Version 1 · effective 24 Aug 2026

What we ask of every upload

When you post, you are telling us three things.

It is about travel. There is a real connection to a place, a journey, or the practical business of getting somewhere and staying there.

It is yours to post. You shot it, or you have permission from whoever did. If people are recognisable in it, you have their agreement to share it.

It is honest. If you were hosted, paid or gifted, say so in the caption. A review that hides a free stay is not a review.

Formats and limits

  • Reels: MP4, MOV or WebM, up to 120 MB
  • Stories and photos: JPEG, PNG or WebP, up to 12 MB
  • Captions: up to 2,200 characters

We re-encode what you upload so it plays quickly for everyone. That takes a few minutes and happens while your post is in review.

Music and third-party material

Music, footage and images you did not make need a licence you can point to. Popular audio from another platform is not licensed for use here.

You can mention a place, a hotel or your own business. You cannot use this community mainly to move people somewhere else, and you cannot post links that lead to malware, scams or paywalled traps.

Terms of Use for Creators

Version 2 · effective 29 Aug 2026

Using the Travel Community

You need an account to post, like or comment. One person, one account. Accounts made to inflate somebody's numbers are removed, along with the engagement they produced.

What you keep, and what you give us

Your content stays yours. By posting it here you give us permission to store it, re-encode it, and show it in this community and in our own marketing for the destinations it features, with credit to you. You can ask us to take it down at any time.

What we can do

We review everything before publication, and we can decline it. We can take published content down if it turns out to break these guidelines. We can restrict, suspend or close an account that keeps breaking them. Where content earned credits and is later removed for a breach, those credits can be reversed.

Availability

This is a community feature on a travel business's website, not a service you pay for. We may change it, pause it, or close it. If we close it, we will tell you first and give you a way to get your content back.

The law

These terms follow Indian law. Nothing here removes a right you have that cannot be signed away.

How Moderation Works

Version 1 · effective 24 Aug 2026

Every post is read by a person

Nothing you upload appears in the community until somebody on our team has watched it. That is a deliberate choice: it is slower than publishing straight away, and it is the reason this feed is worth scrolling.

The timeline

You will usually hear within a few hours. It can take up to 24 hours, and longer over a holiday. While your post is in review it sits in "My content", visible to you and to nobody else.

What a reviewer checks

Whether it is travel-related. Whether it contains anything explicit, vulgar, hateful, threatening or illegal. Whether it is advertising something unrelated, or pushing people to another platform. Whether it looks like somebody else's work. Whether it is spam.

The three answers

Published. It is live, and it starts earning credits.

Changes needed. Something small is wrong — usually a caption or the wrong file. Fix it and post it again.

Not approved. It broke a guideline. You will be told which one. It is not published, it earns nothing, and depending on what it was, it may count as a violation.

After publication

A published post can still be taken down — because somebody reported it, or because a second look changed the answer. If that happens for a breach of the guidelines, the credits that post earned can be reversed.

If you disagree

Open a ticket from the post itself. A different person will look at it. Say what you think we missed; that is genuinely how decisions get overturned.

Travel Credits

Version 1 · effective 24 Aug 2026

What credits are

Travel Credits are reward points for taking part in this community. They are not money. They cannot be withdrawn as cash, sold, or moved to another account, and they have no value outside the rewards we publish here.

How you earn them

Signing up: 1,000 credits, once.

Views: 1 credit for every 100 valid views.

Likes: 2 credits for every 100 valid likes.

Comments: 5 credits for each person who comments on your post. The same person commenting again is welcome, but it earns once.

Views and likes are counted in whole hundreds. Ninety-nine views earn nothing; two hundred and ninety-nine earn two credits' worth.

Booking with us pays more

Every completed booking raises what you earn from everything, for as long as you are here.

BookingsViews (per 100)Likes (per 100)Per commenter

A booking counts once it is confirmed and paid in full. A cancelled or fully refunded booking takes the rise back — but never the credits you already earned at that rate.

When credits arrive

Engagement is added up once a day, after midnight, and credited the following morning. We count validated engagement only: repeated views from the same person on the same day, views of your own posts, automated traffic and obviously fake activity are all excluded before anything is paid.

What you can do with them

  • 10,000 credits → ₹1,000 off a booking with us
  • 10,000 credits → a ₹100 Amazon or Flipkart gift card

Discount codes are issued to you and cannot be used by anyone else. Gift cards are sent by hand and can take a few working days.

When credits are taken back

If a post is removed for breaking the guidelines, the credits it earned can be reversed. If an account is banned, remaining credits can be cancelled. In both cases your credit history stays visible — nothing is deleted, and you can see exactly what changed and why.

We can change the earning and redemption rates. When we do, it applies from that day forward. What you have already earned is never recalculated.

Removing Your Content

Version 1 · effective 24 Aug 2026

Asking for a post to come down

Once you have posted something, you cannot delete it yourself.

That surprises people, so here is the reason. A published post is not only yours any more: other people have watched it, liked it, commented on it and been paid credits for it, and some of it may be the subject of a report we are still looking into. A delete button would erase all of that in one click.

How to do it instead

Open "My content", find the post, and choose Request removal. You will be asked why:

  • I uploaded the wrong video
  • I want to remove my content
  • Copyright issue
  • Privacy concern
  • Incorrect information
  • Something else

The post comes off the community immediately — you do not wait for us for that part. A ticket opens, and someone answers it. If we cannot honour the request, we will tell you why.

Say so in the reason. Those requests are treated as urgent, whether the post is yours or somebody else's.

Closing your account

Ask us and we will close it. Your posts come down. Your credit history, your violations if you have any, and records tied to bookings and payments are kept, because we are required to keep them.

Warnings, Suspensions and Bans

Version 1 · effective 24 Aug 2026

What happens when a guideline is broken

Most problems are one post, one mistake, and one conversation.

Violations

When we remove or decline content for breaking a guideline, that is recorded as a violation on your account. You are told which guideline, and where you stand.

Some things are not violations at all. A holiday photo with no obvious travel connection is a mistake, and we will just decline it. Hate speech, explicit material, fraud and stolen content are always violations.

Third violation, and the account is banned. That is the default, and we may change it — the current number is always shown on this page and in the notice you get with each violation.

Suspension

A suspension pauses posting, liking and commenting for a set time. You can still browse, and you keep your credits.

Ban

A ban closes the account. Your content comes off the community, you cannot sign in, and remaining credits can be cancelled under the credit policy. We do this for repeated violations, and immediately for the serious ones: sexual content involving minors, credible threats, and organised fraud.

Appeals

Every one of these can be appealed, including a ban. If you cannot sign in, use the appeal form linked from the sign-in page. A person who did not make the original decision reads it.

Tell us what you think we got wrong. Appeals that explain something we could not see from the post are the ones that succeed.
