A year-round city break

Singapore is suitable from January through December. Expect tropical heat, humidity and short downpours throughout the year; November to January is generally wetter, while February and March are often comparatively dry. Indoor attractions, covered walkways and the MRT reduce weather disruption, though outdoor gardens and neighbourhood walks are most comfortable early or after sunset.

Where to Go

The strongest routes pair historic districts with hawker centres, river walks, tropical gardens and Singapore’s carefully planned waterfront.

Singapore’s present order grew from a 14th-century Malay port, British free-trade policies, mass migration and the pressures of independence in 1965.
